Every dog has a story, here’s mine…
How I arrived at the San Diego Humane Society:
I was brought in by my previous owner, because they could no longer take care of me.
During my stay:
I have really enjoyed getting to know the SDHS staff. I have even joined them for lunch a couple of times! To be honest, if I could, I would just love to be with humans 24/7! I’m just not a huge fan of being left alone. But once you get to know me, you won’t ever want to be apart (at least, I’m told I have that kind of effect on people). The staff has also learned that I am very food motivated (beware: My proclivity for people-food has been discovered, and I’m said to be something of a counter-surfer). Also, I’m trained! I know sit, shake, down, wait and high-five!
Why I am the one for you:
I am reserved and shy at first, but I will warm up if given adequate time to adjust and become a real sweetheart. My activity level is typically low but I do love to go for walks and play a good round of tug-of-war! I am good with kids over three years old and other dogs who are respectful of my golden age and not overly playful. In my last home, I lived with two cats, so if you have felines then I’m your gal!
My adoption fee includes my spay/neuter, current vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, a gift from Hill’s Science Diet, a license if residing in Oceanside or Vista, and limited veterinary medical coverage from VCA Hospitals up to $250!
